The Braswells Rainy September Wedding Day in Apalachicola Florida.
The Florida weather may have kept us indoors, but we refused to let that dampen this deeply meaningful first look.
Katelyn reached out to me in the last few weeks before her wedding date flustered over a mix up with the photographer she had booked. In a moment of compassion I offered to open my books for her wedding. I don't normally book anything on a Saturday in lieu of the Sabbath, so this was an extra special affair.
I had told her I really needed to pray on it when she first reached out to me, I had worked to hard to keep the sabbath that year. Over the course of a couple days, I just kept having the same tug on my heart that I needed to do this.
It was probably one of the most challenging wedding days for the sheer fact it rained allll day and Apalachicola being the beautiful swamp land that it is, tromping through puddles was not in the cards. So every portrait had to be taken in doors. Thank goodness for education on light and how best to use it in a scenario like this. We still ended up with dreamy and frameworthy portraits.
Their private vow exchange melted my heart and seeing Jacob brought to tears as he read his words of affection for his soon the be wife was incredibly profound. This southern charmer had clearly put a lot of forthought into this moment.
Sometimes it's the last minute or unexpected things we can find the most meaningful experiences through. I'm so grateful to have met Katelyn and been even this small part of their beautiful story.
Much Love + God Bless
