This May 2021 extended family session was the second catalyst for the development of my style of photography and I'm still wildly proud of it over a year later. I've curated a small collection of all my favorites from this St. George Island Florida beach session.
Amanda, the momma above (and below) owns a small business with some of the most beautiful macramé pieces! So obviously I was excited to finally meet her after getting connected on Instagram. There is something so refreshing about working with and serving fellow creatives, I just knew she would value my work!
Her precious baby girl was a total gem and made the photographs of her family a piece of cake. (Like what baby looks at the camera so well?!? Not many!) This little girl is magazine worthy in my humble opinion.
These are just a handful from one of the single-family parings during the session.
I loved the ones of Amanda and her brother actually acting like siblings! (There were a handful more.) Sometimes it seems like brothers and sisters drift apart and loose the playful nature they once had, seeing these now is refreshing and a good reminder of the connections we should work to maintain with our families.
The second family from this session was so sweet and the momma shares her experience as a military wife on her social media in such a relatable and comedic fashion. Not to mention she's a total beauty guru. (If you couldn't tell! I mean that hair!) Their free-spirited girl kept me on my toes, and I loved every minute of chasing her around.
I still believe this session is one of only a handful that were truly perfect. Knowing more, now, there is of course a handful of minor changes I could have made, but ultimately those changes showed in every session after. That's the beauty of developing an artistic skill, endless growth.
This landscape below, taken just before their session, was included in their final gallery to create the opportunity for a unique and truly custom and cohesive, artistic gallery wall.
Much Love + God Bless
